The Redesign Series

Product innovation isn’t just about what you add—it’s also about what you remove, and how you restructure what remains. In The Redesign Series, I reimagined well-known products I love— not just to improve the user experience, but to explore how these products could evolve to be better set up for future innovation.

The approach is simple but powerful. It’s a process I’ve used for years on long, complex product cycles—and now, with AI at my side, I’ve compressed it into a faster, more iterative flow.

🧰 The Approach Taken

Below is an explanation of the redesign process I have taken throughout this series.

Step 1 —Map the product
Break it down into its core building blocks: tabs, features, flows.

Step 2 – Keep or cut
Decide what stays, what goes, what’s essential, what’s not.

Step 3 – Restructure
Rebuild what remains into a cleaner, smarter layout.

Step 4 – Add (if needed)
Introduce new features only where they clearly add value

Repeat the cycle
Keep going until nothing’s missing, everything fits, and the product feels right.

The Power of AI
What once took months now takes hours. In this series the goal wasn’t perfection—it was momentum. I wanted to get somewhere useful, fast and to explore the way AI can amplify product thinking, research, and design.
