An Evolving Process
An Evolving Process
The product paradigm has shifted. What once took expert teams months of work can now be done solo — in days.
We are all still figuring out what that means for our product process. On this page, I’ve outlined how my own process is evolving — how I think, prototype, and build in an AI-powered world.
My 3 step process:
At a high level, my current workflow breaks down into three core steps.
🧠 Step 1 — Flesh out the concept
Tool: ChatGPT
I start by thinking out loud with ChatGPT. From naming and features to users and positioning — ChatGPT helps me get the idea out of my head and into shape fast.
🎨 Step 2 — Rough designs
Tool: ChatGPT (again)
Once the concept feels solid, I prompt ChatGPT to generate high-fidelity UI screens. It usually takes a few iterations, but the results are surprisingly great — more than enough to move into build.
🔨 Step 3 — Build the thing
Tool: Lovable
With the concept and visuals in hand, I hand it off to Lovable to bring the idea to life. I share a short summary of the concept, upload designs, and allow the product to start taking shape.
There’s still a healthy dose of iteration and polish — but with Steps 1 and 2 done, things move quickly and smoothly.
Simplified & Still Evolving
This is a simplified view of how I currently build — but it’s broadly accurate. That said, the process is still evolving. The tools keep changing, and so do my workflows. I’m continually learning how to move from concept to product faster, more fluidly, and with fewer barriers than ever before.
